How to describe a business you want to buy
By GROFINEX Insights
“Anything profitable” is not a search. It returns everything and teaches you nothing about fit.
Name the industry, the geography you will actually operate or oversee, and a price range you can support. Say whether you will run the company or hire someone who will. Say what you will not buy: a customer concentration you cannot live with, a license you cannot hold, a location you will not visit.
Earnings matter, and so does the form of those earnings. Cash flow that disappears when the owner leaves is a different asset from cash flow a manager already runs.
A match is only useful if it respects those limits. Public pages should not be where a seller's identity or detailed financials appear. The introduction belongs in a conversation both sides asked for.
